Location
The main campus of Alcorn State University is located in Claiborne County. The main campus is tucked away seven miles west of the town of Lorman and seventeen miles southwest of the town of Port Gibson. Alcorn State, Mississippi, is located approximately 40 miles between the cities of Natchez and Vicksburg and 80 miles southwest of the state capital, Jackson. Alcorn State is south of Vicksburg and north of Natchez. The school is located no more than 35 minutes off the Mississippi river. Alcorn State branch campuses are located in both Natchez and Vicksburg.
Directions
East or West via I-20
Take the U.S. Hwy 61 exit, travel approximately 40 miles, and exit onto Mississippi Hwy 552 west. Follow the signs for 7 miles to the campus.
North or South via I-55
Jackson: From I-55 in Jackson, MS take take I-20 west to Vicksburg, MS. Take the exit to U.S. Hwy 61 south to MS Hwy 552 west.
Brookhaven: From I-55 at Brookhaven, MS take U.S. Hwy 84 west to MS Hwy 33 north, to US Hwy 61 north to US Hwy 552 west.
