Former Canton basketball player McDarion Abron passed away early Thursday morning due to what was believed to be a massive heart attack. The 6-foot-11 Abron signed with Alcorn in 2012, but withdrew from school because of “family issues”, according to Alcorn coach Luther Riley. “I supported his decision,” saiRiley. “Our prayers go out to his family.” He was planning to enroll at Pearl River CC this season.
Funeral services will be held at the Greater Faith Calvary Pentecostal Church, 305 N. Railroad Street, Canton, Mississippi, 39046 at 11:00 a.m. McDarion was the son of Ms. Dezenelle Abron.
