Quinton Cantue were named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week by the SWAC office for their performance this past weekend in the Braves victory over Jackson State 48-33.
Gibbs completed 18-of-32 passes for 275 yards and threw three touchdowns. He extended his passing touchdowns of the season to 21 and tied his career-high of three touchdowns in a single game. He also averaged 4.1 yards per carry rushing for 62 yards on 15 carries.
Cantue intercepted a career-high two passes in a single game and returned one of the interceptions for a 36-yard touchdown. He also recorded six tackles (4 solo) and one pass break-up in the win.
