Braves First Scrimmage of Fall Camp In the Books

ALCORN STATE, MS - The Alcorn State Braves conducted their first officiated scrimmage of the 2012 preseason Saturday at the Davey Whitney HPER Practice Facility in a two-hour session. About 90 plays were run live from scrimmage.

"I thought the effort was good today," said Alcorn head coach Jay Hopson. "We still have a lot of work to do but the guys are working hard, our goal is to get better play by play."

Sunday is an off-day for the Braves before they return to the practice field for two sessions on Monday.

The Braves open the season Saturday, September 1, in a face-off with the Tigers of Grambling State in Shreveport, LA. Kick-off is slated for 6:00 P.M. at Independence Stadium.
