Alcorn State, MS--- After dropping three straight, the Lady Braves pulled off a 51-32 win over Texas Southern.
Alcorn State got off to an 8-0 start, the Lady Braves continue to press forward and dominated the first half. The Lady Braves took a six point lead in the locker room with a score of 20-14.

Alcorn State continued to hold off the Lady Tigers in the second half with key shots from the Lady Braves squad. The Lady Braves' bench contributed 17 points in the win.
Alcorn State shot 33.9% from field goal range while hitting 7 of 13 (53.8 %) at the free throw line. The Lady Braves outrebounded TSU 38-33.
Sharnika Breedlove led all scorers with 12 points. Janelle McQueen led Texas Southern with
eight points.
