ALCORN STATE, MS --Alcorn State University is proud to announce that one of the most anticipated in-state collegiate football rivalries between two of Mississippi's foremost HBCUs – Alcorn State and Jackson State – will return to Lorman, Mississippi, on Saturday November 17, 2012 as The Magnolia Heritage Classic: Return of the Soul Bowl. The biggest collegiate football game of the season will highlight and celebrate the rich cultural heritage, contributions and athletic traditions of the Magnolia State's premier HBCUs.
The “Return of the Soul Bowl”, formerly known as the Capital City Classic, will be held at the Jack Spinks-Marino Casem Stadium at 2:00 p.m. on the historic campus of Alcorn State University and will be surrounded with an array of special events and activities for everyone that will be filled with celebrity guests including a Classic Hospitality Tent, Live Music Soundstage, the 5
th Quarter Battle of the Bands, an exciting Postgame Concert and much more. Additional details on events will be announced soon.
Ticket prices (parking not included and must be purchased at Alcorn):
Children under 6 years old – free admission
Children 6-12 – $10
ASU full-time students – free with valid Gold Card
ASU part-time students/JSU students with valid ID – $15
General admission – $25
Reserved seats – $35
Purple seats – $50
Please not tickets purchased via Ticketmaster and other outlets may be assessed an additional fee. Student tickets are limited to two (2) tickets per student and can be purchased only at each university's ticket office.
