A Colorado Rockie

Man it feels like every day I get closer and closer to the end of this dream that I’m living. I feel like I might wake up at any given time. I just want to thank all of my family and friends along with the my teammates and coaches, the Alcorn family for all of the support, and a special thanks to my main man Tyrone Broxton for everything he has done for me. If it wasn’t for him I never would have never earned the nickname Dot-Com. When I was signing all of the papers I was thinking to myself wow and to think this is just the beginning. Thanks to the whole Rat Pack. I extend my love those were some times to remember.

SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships

This year's SWAC Championships were a little bit better for me this year. I was actually worried about how I would do on the final two days of the competition. The first two days was the decathlon. In day one of the decathlon, I competed in the: 100meter Dash, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, and 400m Dash. On day two of the decathlon, I competed in the 110 meter hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, and 1500 meter run. So after ten grueling events, I really questioned my ability to perform in the 400meter hurdles on Saturday and Sunday. I faired well on Saturday in the 400meter hurdles. On Sunday I was able to post a good time as well; however, I would have done a lot better if I didn't have to compete all four days. I truly enjoyed myself at the SWAC Championships. I didn't feel as I did as well as I could have, but my results were pretty good.
