Man it feels like every day I get closer and closer to the end of this dream that I’m living. I feel like I might wake up at any given time. I just want to thank all of my family and friends along with the my teammates and coaches, the Alcorn family for all of the support, and a special thanks to my main man Tyrone Broxton for everything he has done for me. If it wasn’t for him I never would have never earned the nickname Dot-Com. When I was signing all of the papers I was thinking to myself wow and to think this is just the beginning. Thanks to the whole Rat Pack. I extend my love those were some times to remember.

On this weekend vs. Jackson State:

The games this weekend really put a lot of pressure on our pitching staff because Jackson State is the best hitting team in the nation. We really did a terrible job in terms of executing defensively as a whole, but I guess you live and learn. Hopefully we’ll learn from our mistakes this weekend.


On leading the nation in batting:

I'm not surprised to be leading the nation in hitting. I mean everyone else might be surprised but a wise man once told me the reward for hard work is success so I really expected it.

On SWAC Tournament:

I won’t say we are going to win but we are going to work harder than anybody else and hopefully success will be the reward in the SWAC tournament.
