ASU Department of Athletics has an immediate opening for the position of Head Women’s Volleyball Coach/Instructor. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 hours in health and/or physical education and head coaching experience at either the high school, collegiate, and/or professional level required. Master’s degree in health and/or physical education and Division I coaching experience required. Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills required. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain an effective and competitive intercollegiate volleyball program through recruitment of qualified student-athletes and successful coaching those individuals. Ensure compliance with NCAA, SWAC, Alcorn State University, and the Department of Athletics guidelines, policies, and procedures. Ability to raise funds, increase fan support, communicates with alumni, and university constituencies in order to further enhance the Department and the University. Provide leadership and instruction in personnel matters, when appropriate. Monitor the eligibility status and promote the academic progress of student-athletes. Schedule and conduct regular practice sessions as permitted by the NCAA rules and regulations. Supervise assistant coaches, part-time coaches, graduate assistants, and other staff as appropriate to ensure their compliance with appropriate rules and regulations.
